This is an imagination of Edgar Allen Poe’s cousin Virginia Clemm, who married Poe when she was 13. She died of tuberculosis after years of suffering and illness at the age 24. She is thought to have inspired the works The Raven and Annabel Lee. His portrait sits on the table beside her.
